Account Deletion

Delete Your Account and Data

Last updated: September 4, 2026. How to delete your Zhenghe account and the personal data attached to it.

1. How to delete your account

You can delete your account directly within the app, or submit a request via email if you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your account.

  1. In the mobile app (instant): Open the Zhenghe app on iOS or Android, navigate to Account > Profile, scroll to the bottom, tap "Delete Account", and confirm the prompt.
  2. Via email (if app is uninstalled): Email support@zhenghe.space from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line "Account deletion request".
  3. Via support ticket: While signed in, open a ticket under Support > Tickets and ask us to delete your account.

2. Verifying your request

In-app deletion is authenticated by your active session and executes immediately. For requests submitted by email or support ticket, we verify that the request originated from the account owner before proceeding, and may ask you to confirm account details.

3. Timeline

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. For manual requests submitted by email or ticket, once verified, we delete your account and the data described below within 30 days.

4. What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes:

  • Your account record — email address, password hash, and name
  • Your subscription and entitlement state, including active plans and remaining balances
  • Device and session records tied to your account
  • Your referral relationship, if any
  • Your support tickets and their history
  • Your VPN subscription credentials (UUID and access token) — this immediately disconnects and revokes access on every device

5. What we retain, and why

A narrow set of records survives deletion, kept only because we are legally required to. These records are not used for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose once your account is gone.

  • Payment and invoice records — kept for as long as tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention rules require, typically 7 years, and held by our payment processor, Stripe, not on our own servers
  • Aggregate, non-identifying traffic counters used for network capacity planning, which are no longer linked to you once your account is deleted

6. What we never collect in the first place

Deleting your account cannot remove data we never had. Consistent with our Privacy Policy, we do not log your browsing history, the DNS queries your device makes, or the contents of your traffic.

7. Before you request deletion

Deletion is permanent. If you have an active subscription or an unused data pack balance, deleting your account forfeits any remaining paid time or data — it is not a substitute for a refund.
